The fact that it was in the West of Ireland, too, makes it even more special - it’s a beautiful part of the world with so much to offer, and the event really captured that spirit.
Dr. Lorna Ross’s talk was incredibly thought-provoking. Human-centred design is so important, especially with how fast technology is evolving, and it’s inspiring to hear people talking about keeping humanity at the core of all our creative work.
Gasp! is definitely on the cards for next year!

On Friday, April 4th, I had the pleasure of joining an inspiring online forum from 12-1 PM, a Lunchtime Zoom meet-up bringing together designers from across Clare, Limerick, Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Tipperary, Mayo, Galway, and Roscommon.
This dedicated space was all about connection, collaboration, and sharing ideas. It was great to meet like-minded creatives, form new networks, and spark conversations that could lead to exciting possibilities.
Looking forward to continuing the dialogue and seeing where this growing design community takes us!

I had the chance to attend a fantastic talk at CREW in Galway, focused on the challenges we're facing due to environmental issues. The speakers highlighted not only the seriousness of the problems but also the innovative ways people are thinking and acting to tackle them. It was inspiring to hear about the approaches being taken across different creative industries.
The event was organized by IDI (Institute of Designers in Ireland), another great initiative bringing people together to spark important conversations. Looking forward to more events like this!
